Homeopathy erases white patches

Whilst he was learning to drive a motorcycle, 17-year-old Ashish's knees took a lot of punishment. When that repeated trauma developed into Vitiligo, it was homeopathy that came to the rescue. A few doses of Arnica 30 helped to completely rid Ashish of white patches.

White patches on the skin, also known as Leucoderma, is a relatively common skin disorder, in which white spots or patches appear on the skin.

40-50 million people worldwide have Vitiligo. Sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 15 or more is strongly recommended to protect against the harmful effects of UV rays.

Vitiligo has been associated with certain diseases such as Hypothyroidism, Diabetes Mellitus, Pernicious Anaemia and Alopecia Areata. It also has a tendency to run in families. However, Vitiligo is not contagious.

Conventional treatments for Vitiligo include medication, light therapy and surgery. Not every treatment suits everyone. Side effects vary from severe blistering of the skin to skin cancer. Surgical removal may not always be successful since the patches can continue to spread. On the other hand, homeopathy holds out an excellent chance of recovery without any side effects. The prognosis is broadly dependant on the duration and extent of spread of the condition. The aim of treatment is to control the spreading rate of new patches and treat the existing ones. Improvement is seen in the form of pinkish coloration of the Vitiligo spot, regimentation of spots and coalescing of spots to form normal skin. With homeopathy, the chances of recurrence are negligible.

Instead of treating homeopathy as a last resort, it should be a Vitiligo patient's first choice.
