Dr Batra's plans to open 5 more Homeopathy clinics in Gujarat

Dr. Batra’s healthcare group plans to set up five more clinics in Gujarat during this financial year. Disclosing this, Dr. Tejal Ajmera, national head of the Group said that 50 more clinics have been planned during this year pan India. Of these five will be in Gujarat. Gujarat already has five clinics and with these new openings the total will go up to 10.This year a clinic in Rajkot will bring Saurashtra on the Group’s map. It already has presence in Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Surat. Talking about patient profile in Gujarat, she said that maximum approached clinics with hair problems followed by skin disease, female disorders, respiratory problems, childcare ailments and obesity. Now more and more people are turning to Homeopathy, she said. Child care is the focus area. Homoeopathy is the second largest system of medicine in the world today, according to World Health Organisation and is used by over 500 million people worldwide. The global homeopathy market is slated to touch INR 52,000 crore by 2017. France contributes the largest share to the world homeopathy market — an estimated 300 million Euros, followed by Germany with 200 million Euros. In the UK, homeopathic hospitals are part of the National Health Service (NHS.) The Indian homeopathy market is expected to reach INR 5,873 crore mark, in 2017, she said. It is also expected to grow at a rate of 25-30 per cent in comparison to 13-15 per cent for the conventional (allopathic) pharmaceuticals industry, since users of homeopathy are increasingly growing.
