Antibodies - (Anti-bodies)
A type of protein made by certain white blood cells in the body in response to a foreign substance (antigen). Some antibodies destroy antigens directly. Others make it easier for white blood cells to destroy the antigen. Auto Immune - (au-to-im-mune)
A state in which the immune system of the body mistakenly attacks the body’s own cells Coma - (ko-ma)
A state of deep and often prolonged unconsciousness; usually it is a result of disease or injury. Delirium - (deli-ree-um)
A state of violent mental agitation Fatigue - (fa-tigue )

One of the main hormone-secreting glands - it is located at the base of the brain Subclinical - (sub-cli-nical)
Relating to the stage in the development of a disease before the symptoms begin to show up Thyrotoxicosis - (thy-ro-toxi-co-sis)
Pathologically excessive production of thyroid hormones leading to a crisis state; also called Thyroid storm, this is a medical emergency and can be life threatening.
